Claire Fowler

Dean Fowler oversees the academic advising and academic standing of all undergraduates, working closely with the residential college staff and academic departments. She coordinates the residential college program for the Dean of the College and serves as secretary for the Council of College Heads. As secretary for the Committee on Examinations and Standing, she oversees undergraduate withdrawals and reinstatements and reviews exceptions to academic policy. She directs the Program in Continuing Education and administers the Martin A. Dale summer awards and postgraduate fellowship.
Claire Fowler earned a Ph.D. from Columbia before joining the English department faculty at Princeton. She has also taught in the freshman seminar and writing programs. She served as director of studies at Wilson (now First) College and as dean at Butler College before moving to Morrison Hall.
