Bio/Description

Dean Olin directly oversees the academic and residential life advising for all students affiliated with Mathey College, supervises the day-to-day operation of the college office, and works closely with the head of college and the staff at Mathey to provide support and programming.

Michael Olin earned an M.S. in Counseling at Loyola University in Maryland, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at New York University. He began his career at Princeton in 2007 as the inaugural director of student life in First College before serving as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Students from 2012-17. He also served at Lafayette College from 2018-21 as its first College Transition Specialist, focusing on the needs of marginalized and underrepresented students, before being appointed Lafayette’s Dean of Advising and Co-curricular Programs.
