Bio/Description

Dean Kossou is the chief financial officer of the Office of the Dean of the College, with responsibility for the design, allocation, and management of financial, human, and physical resources and operations. She coordinates the funding strategy for new undergraduate academic initiatives that emerge from the University’s strategic priorities.

Before her appointment as dean of finance, Catherine most recently served in the Office of Finance and Treasury as Director of Funds Management, Reporting, and Analysis. She played a vital role in developing the chart of accounts and financial reports for Princeton Prime. She worked closely with the Office of Information Technology on the development of Princeton’s first integrated financial information warehouse. In addition, she’s staffed notable projects. Before joining Princeton, Dean Kossou held several financial leadership roles at New York University, where she was the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration, overseeing financial planning and operations for the Abu Dhabi campus and as Assistant Vice President, managing the financial operation of the Campus Services organization. Before NYU, Catherine held several financial management roles at SBC Communications (now AT&T), including her most recent position as Director for Consumer Revenue Planning and reporting for thirteen states. Catherine received her bachelor’s in public administration from the University of Benin in West Africa and earned an M.B.A. at Laval University in Quebec, Canada.
