Bio/Description

Dean Caswell oversees the academic advising and academic standing of all undergraduates, working closely with the residential college staff and academic departments. She coordinates the residential college program for the Dean of the College and serves as secretary for the Council of College Heads. As secretary for the Committee on Examinations and Standing, she oversees undergraduate withdrawals and reinstatements and reviews exceptions to academic policy. She directs the Program in Continuing Education and administers the Martin A. Dale summer awards and postgraduate fellowship.

Anne Caswell earned her A.B. at the University of Chicago, and her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at Princeton. She has taught in Princeton’s writing program and in the department of comparative literature. Before becoming dean of Wilson College (now New College West) in 2013, she served as director of studies at Rockefeller College. She is an athletic-academic fellow for the softball team and the men’s soccer team.
