Princeton eliminates the summer savings requirement in financial aid awards for all undergraduates

Taking effect in the fall of 2020, Princeton financial aid awards will have a reduced total student contribution of $3,500 through the elimination of the summer savings expectation. The new student contribution will be based on the estimated cost of books and personal expenses, which are out-of-pocket costs directly managed and paid by students. As a result of this change, aid awards will be simplified and the amount due on the student account will be easier for both students and parents to understand.
